The last link gives me a zero-length file.

So it's the last "sed" invocation in the script that fails.
There may be a missing semicolon. At least I thought sed requires a
";" (or newline) before "}", and some examples I've just checked
seem to suggest so, so I'm a bit surprised GNU sed works without it.
Otherwise I don't see any of the typical problems I've had with
other seds here.

For docdemos that's expected, as the extraction script needs full
regex features. But docdemos are not essential for building GPC, so
it lets you skip this step.
